Premiere: Here Before presents the down to earth “Turn Signals”
Following in the footsteps of Ohio artists like The Blue Winter, Fever Fever, and Deadwood Floats; Here Before is, well, here to please. Fans of Sleeping at Last will find things to enjoy here as well.
I thought the biography in Here Before’s Facebook page summed up the vibe of the project pretty well, along with the type of person the guy behind the guitar is. Read it below:
“Chase Steele presents Here Before, his first musical solo project. As a medical student, he falls back on his passion for music as a pastime and as an emotional outlet. He strives to write relatable music inspired by commonly shared experiences. He hopes that, with the help of his music, you may process the events of your own life in ways you may not be inclined otherwise. A debut EP is on the horizons for Fall 2019. Be encouraged. I have been here before. -CS”
If you got what I got out of this song and how Chase describes himself, he’s a humble dude making humble music. It’s nice and calming to listen to, yes. However he absolutely wants to encourage people and help them on their journey. “Turn Signals” are a metaphor for those indicators of life transitions we come across sometimes. I find myself thinking that such a metaphor should have been obvious, yet Steele is the first dude I’m aware of to pick up on that.
Tuned Up is privileged to premiere the debut track from the project below. When life gets busy, take a break and put this on:
