Architects – the classic symptoms of a broken spirit

Architects is a band that doesn’t need to prove much in the scene, as the collective has been putting out albums full of emotion and turbulence for what seems to be forever. Their immense creativity hasn’t dropped, and their need for a revolution keeps them going. The music they have created over the years has been dark and brimming in realism, providing a lasting effect, for the disenfranchised and the lovers who feel the brunt of their pasts creeping up on them.

The act expertly draws on their emotions on The Classic Symptoms Of A Broken Spirit, an album bashfully portraying stories of broken hope. It’s a catalyst carrying relevance, and through its bloodline, unnerving lyrics raise the game, lyrics which do not store up on beauty, but release a darkness. These dark words will cater for the poet, the men and women who love to read melancholic, often brazen stanzas out loud.

Deep Fake starts the record off bluntly and frantically. It pulls at the ears, with rasping vocals and well-tuned guitar lines imposing. Lead singer Sam Carter sings these intelligent lyrics with precision and intent. Spit The Bone opens roughly, and the vocals again from Carter blaze a trail. He’s such a commanding singer, and his words he’s drafted in make for insightful reading. Born Again Pessimist strikes in fast. Carter sings about broken spirit and ruthless fights. Again, he’s on top form. All The Love In The World thunderously barges in, but it’s another thrilling track, full of expert lyricism and burgeoning instrumentals.

Architects are a band that will go down as legends, and this album proves further that the talent they possess is unparalleled.
