David Crowder Band may be done touring, but their swan song just might be a game changer in music. According to this link, each Crowder album has a relative (Can You Hear Us/Remedy, Illuminate/Church Music) and now A Collision yields this relative on Sparrow Records / sixsteprecords, Give Us Rest (or a requiem mass in C [the happiest of all keys]). This monster of a record is two discs, 34 tracks, and 100+ minutes of music spanning multiple genres. I’m intrigued by the many “Sequence” tracks, wondering what those could be. I just hope Crowder and his cohorts at least get a post-career recognition for this, my expectations are high…something so ambitious is not likely to settle on middle ground. Either it will fall flat or be a home run, and given the bands reputation combined with album previews floating out there, I believe it will be the latter. View the track listing below:
