Tuned In: Week of 10/28

New music highlights of this week! Let us know what we missed in the comments:

Kali DreamerOctober Requiem: 1988

This artist defies genre, releasing a long-awaited full length this week that is many genres and none of them at the same time. You’ll hear bits of goth, synthpop, emo, hip hop, and more intertwined in this timely release. Full review coming soon. Time to get spooked and sad.

Demon HunterExile

The metalcore giants are back with Exile. The spiritually inclined project has been long anticipated with some pandemic driven delays (direct and indirect) but fresh off a rare US tour, the band has never been this ready to be received by the metalhead masses.

Secret ShameAutonomy

This is dark post-punk from Asheville, NC that has been continually on their radar for the past several years we’ve been running this blog. Shout out to their publicist and them for the tunes. Imagine if Alvvays took a turn down a dark alley.

Rusty Shipp Dark Side of the Ocean

This is nautical rock for your mind, soul and body. Grungy and whimsical. The latest single, “Tanninam” feels vaguely inspired by acts like Modest Mouse and Interpol interposed with their own dash of quirkiness.

Fit For a KingThe Hell We Create

Expect more bangers from this band who has proven to be the masters of the metalcore earworm.

Kings Kaleidoscope – Baptized Imagination

It’s been a weird couple of years. Expect this brutal honesty to emerge in spades on the latest from this worship collective.
