Sincerity rattles to be noticed here as this trio named Juniper Youth is ready to take the next step to supremacy. They have the talent to do so, and they know how to succeed, blaring their songs of energy and belief from the top. Breaking ground they must do, but they’re equipped to stand the rush of scrutiny and the weight of expectation. Their record Blood Remembers boasts ten exceptional insights, ten songs which let you into their world, one that has been torn and exposed.
This is power rock at its best. Brilliantly timed guitar parts and sincere bellows interweave, creating a well-rounded debut by this band. The songs also feature lyrics, which take time to fathom, but are poetic and are statements for us to behold. They’re clearly notes conveying pain and misfortune, hard times where honesty has been compromised and smashed to pieces. And this band from Boston, know they must keep their balance, and stay on the right path, as their music is original.
Lyrically, we’re taken on a journey of poetry and places. Faces are shrouded out, and the heartbeats do not have rhythm. The music heals. It will carry us over the flames. The words are expertly driven, honest, and sincere. Juniper Youth is a band becoming pioneers of being creative when designing lyrics, and that’s what we need, as so much music these days lacks momentum and thought-provoking slants.
Full Sun starts this progressive LP. It has all the elements we expect and more. The chorus complements the words, and the rush of thunderous percussion is a welcomed inclusion. Bodies begins with breakneck instrumentals. The vocals come in gently, and the lyrical swagger becomes infectious. This band’s world needs a resurgence. Boys Of Winter is a different song. It sounds like it has been created in a older time frame, but it doesn’t lack the power. The vocals are prominent and the lyrics are spellbinding. Here & Gone implements an acoustic chime, and the song rises above. It’s a heart-puller.
Juniper Youth is a talented outfit. Their lyrical ingenuity seems to have no limitations.
