The Lone Wolf – grand theft audio

This is chaos and mayhem bundled together. Grand Theft Audio by The Lone Wolf becomes an unapologetic listen, as it plays on into the mind. It’s bashful too, this release, and the band is defiant and ready to withstand any disorder that comes their way.

The album thunders through so many styles. The concept is diverse, and the band feels that they’ve conquered here, while staying humble. Their music has always been loud and frenetic, and the pain they feel isn’t only an overcast, it runs deep.

The side-splitting songs are all pivotal to the story that this band present. The story is this: depression has overwhelmed the heads, and it has riffled through all the remaining magic. And the band scream for resolution and they crave that the agony will subside without obligation. The lyrics command this record. They’re well thought out and poetically crafted, without being misconstrued. Every sinew of this band’s honesty and integrity has gone to this album too.

There are 11 songs. Cancel The King opens with frantic guitar riffs and purposeful vocals. Mental instability is explored here too, and the band does wither here, but tries to keep their bodies from buckling. Strong For Someone Else begins like a ballad. The lyrics generally occupy the heart of this contribution, and the chorus shows the song’s majestic worth.

Paper Lanterns is a behemoth. And it spreads enough wisdom and memorable riffs to count. The melodies have been constructed with ingenuity. America Meant To Me is beautiful. The man staring into the mirror sees the world in black and grey and is feeling the effects of the carnage he’s been dealt. It’s an impressive swansong.

The Lone Wolf has made a record of emotional twists and turns. It truly engages.
