Architects was the first full set I caught this night. I saw them a while back when they played with letlive. in May. When I saw them last, they played in a venue without a barricade so this show did feel a bit disconnected. The House of Blues just has that type of vibe to me. It was really awesome to hear so many fans yelling out their lyrics with such emotion. Their popularity has definitely increased since earlier this year and these UK natives certainly deserve the hype. Let’s see a 2015 headlining tour, please?!
The Ghost Inside was next and you can tell the crowd was getting anxious. As soon as The Ghost Inside took the stage, the crowd completely erupted. In the middle of their song “Out of Control”, the band had to stop playing because a fight broke out. The Ghost Inside managed to keep things light-hearted by teasing that they needed to restart their whole set because they got interrupted. They did not get to finish the song so they just continued into the next one. With their new album Dear Youth coming out recently, I see big things coming for them in 2015. I caught their set at Warped Tour during the summer, and seeing them play with better sound quality was such a huge step forward. I was honestly so impressed with not only their sound, but their positive attitudes and the ample amount of passion they showed their fans.
Every Time I Die was the last band to play this night of the tour. This was my very first time seeing Every Time I Die live and I was told by several people that I was in for an insane experience. Insane was an understatement. The venue was wall to wall movement. Fans were giving it everything they had during their set. If I learned anything this night, it’s that ETID fans are die hard. I love seeing people really get into the bands they love and I can tell why so many people are into Every Time I Die. Lead singer Keith Buckley’s crazed stage presence was something you could not take your eyes off of. They played a great mix of new and older material to satisfy their fans. I’m sure no one was dissapointed. It’s hard to top energy like that. They’ve been in the game for a long time, and I’m sure they’re going to continue to kill it for years to come. If you haven’t seen them before, I recommend you see them whenever they stop by a city near you.
