Guy Fieri to host inaugural Flavortown Fest in Columbus!

Fans of Flavortown everywhere should be rejoicing today. Music lovers and foodies – name a more iconic duo, am I right?

According to the Columbus Dispatch, Guy Fieri plans to debut a two-day festival at the Lawn at Chemical Abstracts on June 1 and 2, 2024. Per the article, it will feature several of his favorite chefs and bands. No announcements have been made yet, but let the speculation begin.

A quick Google search of “Guy Fieri’s favorite bands” yields a 2021 article on Metal Injection in which he reveals his love of heavy music and classic rock, such as AC/DC, Rage Against the Machine, and Slipknot.

You can also buy a compilation CD off Amazon titled “Diners, Drive-ins and Dives: Road Songs That Rock – Hand Picked by Guy Fieri”. Here’s the cover art and track listing:

The official festival website is tightlipped on details but promises, “Big Food, Big Music, Big Fun, Big Impact.” Links for each just take you to a spot to purchase tickets, which are on sale for $155 a pop. It seems safe to assume that some celebrity chefs and otherwise will be making the rounds, and that there will be some carnival activities too.
