murdermart Continue Sonic Conquest with “fully clothed men”

A few days ago, someone asked me what my favorite album was from 2025. I struggled to go back through my reviews for some idea of anything close to a definitive answer. But as far as new artist discoveries? My group chat receipts render me guilty of being fixated on murdermart. The hours I spent moving were narrated largely by their last LP, Digsafe! easily found a way into my heart, and I’ll wake up with their songs stuck in my head.

“fully clothed men” continues in the band’s tradition of multi-vocalist pop rock. The track’s biggest strength is its consistency: neither the verses nor chorus feel more central. The band’s DIY antics come across with producer-tag-esque opening background vocals, a decent amount of autotune, ironic lyrics, and an approach that ultimately feels down-to-earth. The multi-vocalist approach culminates in an ending which sees two chorus segments overlapping. Throw in a sax solo to top things off and you’ve got that classic murdermart je ne sais quoi.
