New discoveries bring the heat

Ryan recommends: Church Tongue

The band formerly known as Conquerors you may be hearing a lot about very, very soon. They bring to the table an emotive slab of hardcore that is surprisingly polished, and full of energy. The band is currently unsigned and pulled quite a stunt at a show the other night. During the below song, a member had his shirt set on fire, to which he threw down all the more harder, unfazed by the impending burns. Luckily, as far as we know, he escaped serious injury. He won’t be attempting such a stunt again. But who knows what else may occur in this band’s live show? Get a taste by watching the video for “Eyecon” below:

Another heavy band mixes emo with noise rock, punk and hardcore. This Vancouver act is a little less predictable and currently the only show on their schedule is in Austin, TX; quite far away from home. This band ought to have appeal on both the DIY and Warped tour demographics. We recommend checking out the song “We Forgot the Records to Our Record Release Show” here. (photo credit – Tom Nugent)
