If you are looking for a high energy and music filled evening then find the nearest Walk The Moon concert and get yourself there. The first thing I noticed about this concert was the amount of friendly people. I know that may be an odd thing to talk about in relationship to a concert but it was awesome. The band clearly had an extremely loyal following but they didn’t make me feel as though I were intruding on their night. They were inclusive and that made for a very fun experience. The show opened with an up tempo and melodic set from a Cincinnati based band by the name of Public. I was not familiar with any of their music but I knew that I would be finding them online later and listening more closely. The amount of sound was unexpected from a simple three piece that involved your classic trio of drums, bass, and electric guitar but it was very satisfying. Public definitely got the night going in the right direction and did a great job of warming up the crowd. It only took about fifteen minutes for the stage to be readied for Walk The Moon and once they appeared the place went wild. They came right out, stomped on the gas pedal, and didn’t look back. Everyone was singing, swaying at the very least, and sweating while the band provided the soundtrack and the light show for the rest of the night. I would highly recommend seeing either one of these bands live and do not think that you would be disappointed if you were looking for a good time.
