It may only be the first month of the New Year, but the Metalcore Dropouts Tour 2nd Semester is a strong contestant for tour of the year. This powerful lineup is hitting the roads and fans can’t wait with dates selling out. I was able to catch the third stop of this tour in Cincinnati, Ohio at the infamous Bogart’s. The co-headliners had some impressive setlists with a healthy mix of old and new.

All 4 bands poured every ounce of themselves into their performances, with AVOID kicking off the night. The Seattle based band was the perfect opener, getting the crowd revved up and setting the tone for the show. These guys were chaotic, fun, and fearless with their stage performance. Next on the lineup- Counterparts. Hailing from Canada, they bring a bit of variety to the lineup standing right between the doorway of metalcore and hardcore. As always, they brought some heavy breakdowns. This band is a treat to see live! This brings us to our first headliner, Fit For A King, with one of the strongest performances I’ve seen from them. These veterans of the genre are demonstrating exactly why they are a legacy. Then, wrapping up the night, we had The Devil Wears Prada, only an hour away from their hometown city – Dayton, Ohio. With such a charged setlist, fans old and new were able to sing along to every song. It’s not hard to see how impactful this group is to their loyal fan base with such powerful emotional lyrics. There isn’t a stronger note to end the night on. Overall, this tour blew me away. This night was well organized and went on seamlessly. Amazing lineup, immaculate performances, beautiful light show. Grab some tickets of you can! this is one for the books.
