Death’s Dynamic Shroud – Judgement Bolt

Vaporwave powerhouse collective Death’s Dynamic Shroud (often seen as death’s dynamic
shroud.wmv) has been turning heads in the internet based music circles of the underground for
a little over half a decade now. Their 2015 release “I’ll Try Living Like This” was a landmark in
electronic composition and started to turn even the most staunch vaporwave deniers into
vaporwave truthers. The past year or so has been an incredibly busy one for the trio, releasing
an enormous amount of new music in 2021, including their long awaited LP “Faith in Persona.”
Coming into 2022, it seems they have no intention of slowing down. On Jan 18th, DDS released
“Judgment Bolt,” a grandiose track that explores a dancier and more in-your-face attitude than
many prior releases. A shift halfway through the track occurs and all of a sudden we are back in
an auditory world highlighting DDS’s strengths; slowed down, atmospheric and melancholy
vaporwave fore-fronted by altered samples and a soundscape drenched in longing. You can
hear the new track here and stay tuned for much more new DDS material coming shortly.
