throw the fight – strangeworld

This sound is a mix of rock and even metal influences put together to create a distinctive experience. Throw The Fight has been around for two decades, placing their hearts and souls into everything they do, designing pessimistic but enthralling songs which carry lyrics that resonate. These anthems, on the band’s newly packaged record Strangeworld, are purposeful, energetic, and highly engaging, and the band search for charm, in such in a hopeless world.

Throw The Fight know how to construct guitar riffs that are memorable and totally thought out, and melodies that have earned them acclaim for a 20 years. Though they’re in the underground, Strangeworld has them on the cusp of breaking through.

Breaking through might not be their thing, their motivational spark, but on this record, they’ve lined up songs which have everything. The act enforces harmonies that are different and original, moments when the music really does evolve.

Grinding out songs isn’t on this band’s remit. They take great care in producing atmospheric, loud, offerings that entertain but also through these lyrical moments, the act nod to poetry.

Cover Your Tracks starts the record with a bang. The screams do not outdo the melodies, they actually give it a boost. The guitar riffs pounce like lions. Lost Without You begins slowly, giving us an insight into the band’s thought process. The song doesn’t rise much, but it doesn’t need to, as the melodies all intertwine perfectly.

Hourglass begins ferociously. The screams come in quickly, and the rousing melodies interweave seamlessly, offering a contrast. Another heartfelt track it tells us that the band is hurt.

Throw The Fight emerge confidently with this creation, and after 20 years, they still play with professionalism.
